Architecture Student - Buildings (Fall 2026) - 4-12 Month Term

About the role#

Stantec is seeking an Architecture Student for a 4 to 12-month internship term beginning in the Fall of 2026. Working within an innovative and design-oriented environment, you will collaborate with project teams under the guidance of Senior Designers and Architects to contribute to diverse building projects.

What you'll do#

• Interpret sketches, drawings, building codes, and programs.
• Support the project team in the development of design documentation.
• Assist in design development through sketches, physical and electronic models, diagrams, and massing studies.
• Utilize BIM technologies to develop three-dimensional models of buildings and their components.
• Conduct research on concepts, benchmarks, materials, typology, and precedents.

What you'll need#

• Currently working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited university.
• Basic understanding of Revit, AutoCAD, and/or SketchUp as design tools.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to hand sketch and effectively communicate concepts and ideas.
• A portfolio of project work is required for review, provided in PDF format or via an online link.
