About the role#
Stantec is seeking an Architecture Student for a 4 to 12-month internship term beginning in Fall 2026. You will work within project teams under the guidance of a Senior Designer or Architect to support the development of diverse building projects in an innovative, design-oriented environment.
What you'll do#
- Interpret sketches, drawings, building codes, and programs.
- Support the project team in the development of design documentation.
- Assist in design development through sketches, physical and electronic models, diagrams, and massing studies.
- Utilize BIM technologies to create three-dimensional models of buildings and components.
- Conduct research on project concepts, materials, typology, benchmarks, and precedents.
What you'll need#
- Currently working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited university.
- Basic understanding of Revit, AutoCAD, and/or SketchUp as design tools.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to hand sketch and communicate concepts effectively to others.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A portfolio of project work for review, provided as a PDF or via an online link.

- Commitment: Full-time, 4-12 month term.
