About the role#
Stantec is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for the Fall 2026 term in Rochelle Park, New Jersey. This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship focused on supporting transportation infrastructure projects, including highways, interchanges, bridges, and toll plazas.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineers in preparing contract documents and reports for civil and structural engineering projects.
- Utilize computer-aided design and drafting software.
- Review and check drawings and technical calculations.
- Conduct quantity take-offs and perform simple structural calculations.
- Participate in field inspections, which may involve exposure to various weather conditions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited bachelor's program for Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Architecture, or a similar field.
- Maintenance of good academic standing.
- Prior exposure to CAD design programs.
