About the role#
Stantec is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for the Fall 2026 term in Rochelle Park, New Jersey. This role supports the transportation team in planning, engineering, and infrastructure management for projects such as highways, interchanges, bridges, and toll plazas.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineers in preparing contract documents and project reports.
- Utilize computer aided design and drafting (CADD) software.
- Perform technical tasks including checking drawings, verifying calculations, and conducting quantity take-offs.
- Execute simple structural calculations.
- Participate in field inspections, which may involve working in various weather conditions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited bachelor's program for Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Maintenance of good academic standing.
- Prior exposure to CAD design programs.
