About the role#
This is a full-time co-op student position for the Fall 2026 term. You will work under the close guidance and direction of experienced engineers on projects within the education, transit, healthcare, and civic sectors. This role involves a variety of tasks ranging from construction drawings to the development of presentation materials.
What you'll do#
- Interpret sketches, drawings, building programs, and technical codes.
- Support the project team in the development of design and construction documentation.
- Assist in design development through sketches, physical and digital models, diagrams, massing studies, and other visual formats.
- Conduct research on concepts, benchmarks, materials, typology, and precedents.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a mechanical engineering program at a college or university.
- Ability to engage in creative and critical thought and communicate abstract ideas verbally and in writing.
- Ability to participate and collaborate effectively within a project team setting.
- Proficiency or experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft software, and rendering tools.
- Ability to hand sketch to communicate concepts and ideas.
