About the role#
Stantec is looking for engineering students to join our Energy practice for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on projects related to hydropower and dams. This role provides hands-on experience alongside experienced practitioners, clients, and community partners.
What you'll do#
- Provide engineering support for design and construction projects.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and CAD designers.
- Review construction submittals and perform design calculations.
- Prepare reports and conduct product research.
- Complete various project-related tasks as needed.
- Attend occasional site visits.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited Engineering program.
- At least two years of college education completed, with graduation expected within approximately two years.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Self-motivated work ethic.
- Basic knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Inventor, or Revit.
- Proficiency with MS Office software.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- Positions are located in Irvine or Pasadena, California.
- Work is performed on-site.
- The role involves typical office work with some potential for field work involving exposure to weather conditions.
