About the role#
Springs Window Fashions is seeking an intern to join our Operations Team for the Summer 2027 term. This paid, full-time internship provides hands-on experience in packaging engineering through project work and cross-functional collaboration. You will work on-site at our corporate headquarters in Middleton, Wisconsin.
What you'll do#
- Support the launch and maintenance of product lines.
- Create models and prototypes based on packaging engineering specifications.
- Perform packaging tests to validate designs, including material performance and distribution testing.
- Conduct research on current packaging materials to identify recycled content and sustainable alternatives.
- Assist with quality projects and plant-initiated tasks related to packaging.
- Gather and analyze data on product hazards like shock, vibration, and temperature.
- Support cost savings initiatives by evaluating material equivalence and writing test reports.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 4-year degree program, preferably in Packaging, Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail.
