About the role#
Sonos is seeking a Radio Systems Engineering Co-Op for the Winter 2027 term. This program provides students with the opportunity to contribute to real projects while working alongside industry experts. You will participate in a six-month experience that includes mentorship, speaker series, and social activities.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to build test and measurement solutions.
- Simplify RF Transceiver characterization and regulatory compliance testing.
- Design and implement reliable solutions for radio system testing throughout the product development cycle.
- Develop and optimize Python software to collect and analyze large datasets.
- Create technical documentation, including test specifications, flow diagrams, hardware drawings, and release notes.
- Drive continuous improvement projects focused on production efficiency, yield, test time reduction, and process optimization.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college or university, preferably in Electrical Engineering.
- Ability to work full-time from January 2027 through June 2027.
- Basic knowledge of test equipment like signal generators, oscilloscopes, and frequency generators.
- Working knowledge of Python or similar programming languages.
- Understanding of Electromagnetics, Communication Theory, or RF/Microwave Engineering.
- Fundamental grasp of RF systems and components, including PAs, LNAs, matching networks, and antenna design.
- Experience with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers and network analyzers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Boston, Massachusetts.
- You must be able to work onsite at least 4 days per week.
- This is a full-time, paid position.
