About the role#
We are looking for students to join our six-month Co-Op Program to explore the intersection of technology and sound. You will work alongside our team to gain hands-on experience in audio engineering. This is a full-time, paid position where you will contribute to real projects, receive mentorship, and participate in our speaker series and cohort activities.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with a diverse, cross-functional team to turn complex requirements into optimized solutions.
- Design and develop components, assemblies, and fixtures for testing loudspeakers, microphones, and acoustic assemblies.
- Manage the full lifecycle of testing, including test plan development, prototyping, design reviews, validation, and manufacturing support.
- Build your technical skills in audio measurement, signal processing, and data analysis.
- Present technical data to your team and participate in peer reviews of your work.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BS, BA, or AA degree program in Audio Engineering, Acoustical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- A strong foundation in physics, specifically waves and oscillations.
- Hands-on experience with 3D printing, machining, or fabrication.
- Familiarity with circuit modeling tools such as P-SPICE or VituixCAD.
- A genuine interest in audio, acoustics, sound reproduction, or music production.
- Ability to work independently and communicate technical information clearly.
- Trustworthiness to work in a high-security, confidential laboratory environment.
- Authorization to work for any US employer without sponsorship.
Location & details#
- This role is based in our Boston, Massachusetts office.
- You must be available to work full-time from January 2027 through June 2027.
- The position requires you to work from the office a minimum of 4 days per week.
- No relocation or housing assistance is provided.
