About the role#
Sonos is looking for students to join our Co-Op Program for a 6-month experience. You will work directly with our cloud services team to blend technology and sound. This is a full-time, paid position designed for students to gain hands-on experience through meaningful projects and mentorship.
What you'll do#
- Monitor, debug, and improve our automated and analytics infrastructure.
- Add new forms of telemetry and metrics to help the team make data-driven decisions.
- Update the development experience by maintaining automated pipelines that provide timely feedback.
- Engineer new automated testing methodologies.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to own services from end-to-end.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues in production features.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an undergraduate program, preferably in Computer Science or a relevant field.
- Experience with backend or cloud technologies.
- Knowledge of QA methodology, software testing processes, and best practices.
- Object-oriented design and coding skills, specifically in Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Understanding of JSON and API development.
- Ability to break down complex problems into testable pieces.
- Experience with AWS compute, database, and networking services, as well as RESTful API testing.
- Familiarity with automated test frameworks like Spring, JUnit, TestNG, Mocha, or Jest.
- Experience with code repositories such as GitHub and Jira.
- Proficiency in tools such as CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, and Sonarqube is preferred.
- Experience with data analytics tools like CloudWatch, DataDog, Tableau, Kibana, Grafana, or LOKI.
- Experience with performance engineering tools such as JMeter or Gatling.
Location & details#
- Location: Boston, Massachusetts.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Modality: Hybrid, with a minimum of 4 days per week onsite.
- Term: January 2027 to June 2027.
