About the role#
Society Insurance is hiring a Software Engineer Intern to work on our Information Technology team. This is a full-time, paid internship based in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. You will work 40 hours per week and participate in our agile development process.
What you'll do#
- Write software code and implement programs based on user stories.
- Perform functionality and usability testing to ensure high standards.
- Create and update documentation for systems and programs.
- Troubleshoot production systems, optimize performance, and resolve technical issues.
- Assist the team with process-improvement projects and broader business objectives.
- Attend and contribute to agile ceremonies like daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and backlog refinement.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program, specifically in Computer Science.
- Junior or senior collegiate status.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to listen actively.
- A self-starting mindset and a proactive approach to your work.
- A focus on quality in every task you complete.
