About the role#
This position offers practical experience for pharmacy students in a community retail setting. You will work under a local Associate-Owner while gaining exposure to the daily operations of a pharmacy. This role is designed to enhance your academic training through real-world interaction with patients, health care workers, and pharmacy staff.
What you'll do#
- Greet customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Manage customer confidentiality and consent to meet all privacy requirements.
- Maintain a professional appearance so you are clearly identifiable to the public.
- Learn about the expanding roles of a community pharmacist.
- Develop skills in patient counseling, disease state management, and drug therapy.
- Gain knowledge regarding over-the-counter products and retail pharmacy management.
What you'll need#
- You are currently enrolled as a pharmacy student.
- You enjoy providing a positive experience for pharmacy customers.
- You can handle the workflow of a busy retail environment.
