About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in the insurance industry. You will work alongside a mentor to learn how claims are handled and how they contribute to company success. You will also have opportunities to network with leadership through social events and office collaboration.
What you'll do#
- Gain insight into claims negotiations and settlement processes to help reach resolutions.
- Guide customers through the claims process with care and understanding.
- Review policy details to verify coverage and limits.
- Gather facts and review documentation to understand the details of a loss.
- Maintain clear and thorough records of investigations, communications, and steps taken.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing an undergraduate or associate degree in Business, Insurance, Communication, or a related field.
- A minimum in-major GPA of 3.00.
- Expected graduation date of May 2028.
- Ability to obtain required licensing as needed.
- Critical thinking, independent decision-making, and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.

- Location: Stevens Point, Wisconsin.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: Hybrid (in-office Tuesday through Thursday, work from home Mondays and Fridays).
- Employment type: Full time.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
