About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in Risk Control and Occupational Safety. You will work alongside a mentor to understand how safety services support our insurance operations. The program includes opportunities to network with leadership through various social events and professional gatherings.
What you'll do#
- Partner with experienced safety consultants across multiple Sentry business units.
- Conduct safety walkthroughs and facility inspections for diverse industries.
- Prepare technical reports and develop recommendations to help customers minimize safety exposures.
- Evaluate different lines of insurance risk, including property, workers compensation, liability, and auto.
- Team up with sales associates to consult directly with customers on safety principles.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of an undergraduate degree in Occupational Safety, Risk Management, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
- Minimum in-major GPA of 3.00.
- Expected graduation date of May 2028.
- Ability to work in a team atmosphere.
- Clear MVR and successful background check.
- Note: Sentry does not offer employment in this position to holders of F-1, J-1, or H-1 Visas for practical experience.

- Term: Summer 2027.
- Employment type: Full time.
- Modality: Hybrid (work from home Mondays and Fridays; in-office Tuesdays through Thursdays).
- Compensation: This is a paid position including housing, parking, and a meal stipend.
