About the role#
Sentry is hiring a Part-Time Manufacturing Intern in Watertown, South Dakota. This role provides hands-on experience in the production of Team Lodge units, including mobile ice shacks, home offices, and recreation units. Interns work alongside experienced professionals to learn manufacturing processes, construction methods, and electrical systems. This is a paid, on-site position with a flexible schedule.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the assembly and production of Team Lodge units.
- Install insulation, aluminum paneling, and various interior components.
- Support light electrical installation and wiring activities.
- Operate hand and power tools under supervision.
- Read measurements and assist with layout preparation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Conduct quality control inspections and help with final unit preparation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in high school, technical school, or college.
- Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
- Positive attitude and dependable attendance.
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
- Comfort using basic hand and power tools.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work throughout the day.
- Preferred fields of study include Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Industrial, or Environmental Engineering, Business Administration, Architecture, Construction Management, Manufacturing Technology, Welding, or Building Trades.
