About the role#
Sentry is hiring a Part-Time Fabrication Intern for our manufacturing team in Watertown. This is a hands-on position for someone interested in learning about fabrication, welding, and general manufacturing in a working shop environment. You will work alongside an experienced team to gain practical skills.
What you'll do#
- Assist with cutting, fitting, welding, and assembly of fabricated parts.
- Measure and prepare materials for production.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
- Read and follow basic drawings, measurements, and work instructions.
- Check completed work for quality and accuracy.
- Follow shop safety procedures.
- Keep work areas clean and organized.
- Help with other manufacturing and shop projects as needed.
What you'll need#
- Interest in welding, fabrication, or manufacturing.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand throughout the shift.
- Comfortable using basic hand and power tools.
- Dependable and able to work as part of a team.
- Previous shop, welding, or manufacturing experience is a plus but not required.
