About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in the insurance industry. You will work alongside a mentor to learn actuarial functions and network with leadership through social events. This is a full-time, paid position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Compile and categorize data.
- Complete assignments related to monitoring rate adequacy.
- Manage corporate insurance risks.
- Perform basic statistical analysis.
- Evaluate loss and expense reserves.
- Learn company operations, systems, and actuarial methodologies.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science, Risk Management, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Minimum in-major GPA of 3.0.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2029.
- At least one actuarial exam completed is preferred.
- Note: Sponsorship is not available for this position.

- Locations: Stevens Point, WI or Madison, WI.
- Modality: Hybrid (in-office Tuesday through Thursday, work from home Mondays and Fridays).
