About the role#
Scot Forge is hiring a Construction Management Intern for the Summer of 2027. You will work at our corporate facility in Spring Grove, Illinois. This role involves supporting our multi-discipline team on renovation and expansion projects within our manufacturing facilities. You will gain experience applying engineering theory to real-world projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist the Construction Manager with the coordination and oversight of capital construction and expansion projects.
- Support schedule development, contractor management, and project documentation.
- Track project budgets and invoices for financial reporting.
- Work with the Safety team to ensure contractors follow Scot Forge safety policies.
- Maintain project schedules and report updates to team members.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering.
- You must be a rising Junior or higher at the start of the internship.
- Experience using AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well with others across multiple disciplines.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to pass a 90-day head hair drug test.
