About the role#
This is a temporary full-time internship based in Jersey City, New Jersey. The position runs from May through August 2027. You will work under the supervision of senior engineering personnel to apply professional principles to real-world problems. The role involves a mix of office and field work, and some travel may be required.
What you'll do#
- Assist with geotechnical investigations and analyses.
- Support the design of retaining walls, excavation support, hydrology, and hydraulic studies.
- Prepare construction plans.
- Support advanced earthquake engineering analyses.
- Perform construction observation and materials testing.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET-accredited Civil Engineering Bachelor's program.
- Ability to routinely lift up to 50 pounds.
- A valid driver's license.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- Ability to pass a background check, including criminal history and motor vehicle record checks.
