About the role#
As a Structural Engineering Intern, you will join a project team to assist with the execution of engineering work. You will support the design of new power plants and modifications to existing plant structures and systems. This role is based in our Nuclear Power Group and offers the chance to apply your academic knowledge to real world engineering challenges.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the preparation of engineering calculations, specifications, and designs.
- Support a team of engineers in performing structural analysis and design of steel frames, concrete members, equipment supports, and foundations.
- Review structural design drawings and vendor documentation.
- Use data and modern tools, including automation and AI, to solve engineering problems, improve workflows, and deliver efficient designs.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Structural, Civil, or Architectural Engineering.
- A strong academic background and interest in materials, structural analysis, steel design, concrete design, and foundation design.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Compensation: $18.00 to $30.00 per hour.
- Status: Paid, full-time internship.
