About the role#
WSP is hiring a full-time Civil Engineering Intern for our Troy, New York office. This summer 2027 position offers the chance to work on transportation and infrastructure projects alongside senior staff. You will gain hands-on experience through our 12-week program, which focuses on developing your technical, social, and ethical engineering skills.
What you'll do#
- Support engineering tasks, including project research, preliminary design calculations, and field work.
- Apply principles of Civil Highway Engineering to project design and analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of final design plans, cost estimates, and special provisions.
- Collect and maintain project documentation.
- Complete required training for your assigned tasks.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in an accredited Civil Engineering or related undergraduate program, with an expected graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Authorization to work in the United States at the start of the internship.
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- A demonstrated interest in highway or transportation engineering.
- Basic proficiency with technical writing, office software, spreadsheets, and engineering tools.
