About the role#
As a Summer 2027 Content Design Intern, you will join a product team to work on live features. You will collaborate with content designers, UX designers, researchers, product managers, and engineers on projects that impact real customers. You will build skills in crafting in-app experiences while balancing user needs, technical constraints, and business goals.
What you'll do#
- Apply content design methods like audits, journey mapping, and competitive research.
- Use AI tools and best practices to craft content and user flows.
- Write clear, usable in-product copy for onboarding flows, modals, and notifications.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ideate, prototype, and iterate on solutions.
- Participate in user research and usability testing to inform design decisions.
- Apply brand voice, tone standards, and design system guidelines.
- Design, build, and augment working prototypes using Figma and design system components.
- Present work in team critiques and participate in reviews as a reviewer.
- Explore how AI tools shape content design workflows.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree from a North American school in communications, product design, UI/UX design, human-computer interaction, cognitive science, user research, or a related field.
- Must be returning to school after the internship.
- An online portfolio of user experience design work demonstrating storytelling, UX writing, and design thinking.
- Curiosity about how words and design decisions shape user experience and accessibility.
- Comfort giving and receiving feedback.
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and deadlines.
- Strong collaboration skills.
- Ability to effectively guide AI tools to achieve desired outcomes.

- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- Locations: San Francisco, California; Seattle, Washington; Bellevue, Washington.
