About the role#
The Business Value Services team is looking for an MBA intern to work with Healthcare and Life Sciences (HLS) customers and sales teams. You will explain how digital transformation and AI solutions drive business and financial value. This role is based in New York and involves working with health systems, payers, and life sciences companies to evaluate how AI agents can handle administrative tasks or improve patient and member experiences.
What you'll do#
- Facilitate discovery sessions regarding customer business roles and processes, including workflows where AI can assist with patient access, care coordination, and member services.
- Collaborate with sales teams and customers to identify and prioritize key value drivers and performance indicators.
- Build quantified value models to support customer business goals and size HLS AI use cases, such as agents for scheduling or medical information requests.
- Account for regulated healthcare requirements in business cases, including data protection standards and the involvement of staff in care decisions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an MBA program with an expected graduation of Spring 2028.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in management consulting, value consulting, or similar analytical roles prior to your MBA.
- Experience structuring complex problems and delivering data-driven recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Preferred: Prior experience in the Healthcare and Life Sciences industry.
- Preferred: Familiarity with financial modeling or business case development.
- Preferred: Understanding of how healthcare organizations approach responsible AI, including privacy and safety.
- Preferred: Hands-on experience with an AI project.
Location & details#
- Location: New York, New York.
- Term: Summer 2027 (June to August/September).
- Employment: Full-time, on-site internship.
- Note: This position is ineligible for visa sponsorship.
