About the role#
Sagent Behavioral Health is hiring a Substance Use Disorder Intern for our Hutchinson location. This is a paid, on-site internship for students completing a formal practicum or internship through their academic program. You will gain experience across the 12 Core Functions of addiction counseling while working under supervision.
What you'll do#
- Manage a small caseload of individual clients.
- Co-facilitate SUD process groups and lead individual sessions.
- Create person-centered treatment plans and write clinical progress notes.
- Conduct intakes and assessments using tools aligned with 245g Minnesota state standards.
- Develop and present psycho-educational lectures during group sessions.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain accurate and compliant patient records.
- Attend weekly supervision, clinical staff meetings, and trainings.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an associate, bachelor, or master degree program in Alcohol and Drug counseling, Co-occurring, or a related field.
- Eligibility to pursue LADC/ADC-T, LPCC, LGSW, or LMFT licensure upon program completion.
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism and integrity.
- Previous work or volunteer experience is preferred.
