About the role#
As a Substance Use Disorder Intern at Sagent Behavioral Health, you will gain hands-on experience in all 12 Core Functions of the field. This role involves working directly with patients struggling with addiction while receiving regular supervision and training. You will be part of a clinical team in Hutchinson, MN, working on-site to provide care and support.
What you'll do#
- Maintain a small caseload of individual clients.
- Co-facilitate SUD process groups and other group sessions.
- Create and present psycho-educational lectures.
- Conduct intakes and assessments to inform treatment plans.
- Write clinical progress notes and maintain records that meet 245G state standards.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to develop individualized care plans.
- Attend all clinical staff meetings, trainings, and weekly supervision sessions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an associate, bachelor, or master degree program in Alcohol and Drug counseling or a related field.
- Eligibility to pursue LADC, ADC-T, LPCC, LGSW, or LMFT licensure upon completion of the program.
- Participation in a formal practicum or internship through your academic program.
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism and integrity in a clinical setting.
- Previous work or volunteer experience is preferred.

- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: This is a paid position with a stipend of $4,478 for a 440-hour internship, with an additional $7,260 available for an extended 440-hour period.
