Education Intern

About the role#

The Education Intern works with the Education Coordinator to develop, implement, and evaluate domestic abuse education content. This role focuses on community engagement, staff development, and supporting educational programming for clients and community members. This is an unpaid, volunteer position that may fulfill academic practicum requirements.

What you'll do#

• Build and maintain collaborative partnerships with community groups, including healthcare providers, law enforcement, and social service agencies.
• Represent the organization at speaking engagements and community tabling events.
• Edit and develop culturally relevant, trauma-informed curriculum and educational materials.
• Provide technical support, manage statistical tracking, and handle documentation for training programs.
• Collaborate with the Education team to execute a strategic education and prevention plan across Greenville, Pickens, Anderson, and Oconee counties.
• Participate in staff meetings, team training, and professional development sessions.

What you'll need#

• Current undergraduate student, preferably a junior or senior.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; public speaking experience is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for work-related travel.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
• Capacity to pass a criminal background check.
• Relevant majors include Psychology, Sociology, Communications, Public Health, Philosophy, or Nursing.
