About the role#
The Education Intern works with the Education Coordinator to develop, coordinate, and evaluate domestic abuse education content. You will support staff development and community engagement efforts in Greenville, Anderson, Oconee, and Pickens counties. This role involves data entry, document submission, and creating presentations. You will also help build partnerships with local organizations such as law enforcement, health care providers, and faith communities. This is an unpaid, on-site internship that may fulfill academic practicum requirements.
What you'll do#
- Build and maintain partnerships with community groups to provide domestic abuse training.
- Represent the organization at speaking requests and tabling events.
- Edit and develop trauma-informed content for staff, volunteers, and community members.
- Provide technical support, track statistics, and document training completions.
- Work with the Education team to implement a strategic education and prevention plan.
- Participate in team meetings and staff training sessions.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate student, preferably a junior or senior.
- Majors in Psychology, Sociology, Communications, Public Health, Philosophy, or Nursing.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
