Greenville County Prevention Intern-Fall 2026

About the role#

The Prevention Intern works alongside the prevention coordinator to implement community-based programming aimed at domestic abuse prevention. This role focuses on the Relationship Education Project (REP) and provides youth and community members with the skills necessary to prevent domestic and dating abuse. This is an unpaid, part-time position designed to fulfill practicum requirements.

What you'll do#

• Facilitate REP-1 presentations in schools and community groups.
• Attend outreach and tabling events to represent the organization.
• Collaborate with the Education team to develop and implement a strategic prevention plan.
• Research, edit, and update prevention curriculum content.
• Complete documentation and data entry for school-based programs.
• Participate in staff meetings, team meetings, and training sessions.
• Build partnerships with schools, faith communities, and local organizations.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

What you'll need#

• Current undergraduate student status.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with public speaking experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in community-based settings.
• Capacity to relate to others in an empathetic and non-judgmental manner.
• Valid SC Driver’s License and reliable transportation for work-related travel.
• Flexibility to work occasional evening and weekend hours.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
