About the role#
Autism Speaks is hiring an Events Intern for the Fall 2026 semester. This is a 10-week remote internship focused on the development team. You will assist with the planning and execution of events in the Cleveland area, including galas, walks, and golf events. You will report to the Senior Manager of Community Engagement for the Great Lakes region. This role provides training and supervision to help you build skills in event timelines, planning processes, and community outreach.
What you'll do#
- Help plan logistics for events across the Great Lakes area of Cleveland.
- Assist with the planning and outreach for kickoff events.
- Manage outreach and stewardship for donors, sponsors, and volunteers.
- Draft content for email and social media marketing.
- Reach out to partners for silent auction donations and in-kind support.
- Provide administrative support and complete assigned tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program.
- Ability to receive academic credit for this internship.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media technology.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to work.
- Commitment to a flexible schedule of 20 hours per week during business hours.
Location & details#
- This is a remote position.
- You must live in the Cleveland or Northeast Ohio area.
- You must have access to transportation to attend meetings or events when required.
- This is a paid internship.
