About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship for the Fall 2026 semester. You will work alongside engineers and technicians to support customer testing programs within our dynamometer and vehicle emissions test laboratories. This role requires on-site work in Allen Park, Michigan.
What you'll do#
- Support a variety of automotive engineering and testing projects.
- Coordinate internal support activities, including dynamometer and emissions testing.
- Perform engine dynamometer and vehicle-based emissions testing, including engine setup and data review.
- Diagnose engine and dynamometer hardware or control issues.
- Prepare and deliver technical reports and presentations for program reviews.
- Manage engine component inventory and test hardware.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical or automotive engineering.
- Minimum sophomore standing.
- Strong MS Excel skills.
- Valid driver's license.
- Hands-on automotive background and a desire to work with engines and controls.
- Ability to work a 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday.
