About the role#
Roush is seeking a Mechanical Engineering intern to join the Vehicle Engineering team for the Fall 2026 term. This is a paid, full-time position that offers hands-on experience and exposure to various engineering and testing projects. You will work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, on-site.
What you'll do#
- Support engineering and testing projects across the Vehicle Engineering team.
- Gain hands-on experience in vehicle systems design and development.
- Familiarize yourself with automotive industry standards.
- Apply technical skills to real-world product development solutions.
What you'll need#
- Minimum junior standing at a college or university.
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial, Civil, or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience using CAD software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or NX.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- A strong desire to learn about body and vehicle engineering systems, design, development, and testing.
- Willingness to engage in hands-on mechanical work.
- Preference is given to candidates with project team experience like Formula SAE, Baja, or EV, as well as those with prior automotive internship experience.

- Locations: Allen Park, Michigan, with occasional work in Livonia, Michigan.
- Modality: On-site, 40 hours per week.
