About the role#
Roush is seeking an Electrical Engineering student to support our Vehicle Engineering team for the fall of 2026. This paid internship provides exposure to vehicle electrical system design, CAN communication, diagnostics, harness development, and validation testing.
What you'll do#
- Support the Vehicle Engineering team with daily tasks.
- Assist in harness development and validation testing.
- Perform hands-on troubleshooting.
- Gain exposure to vehicle electrical system design and CAN communication.
What you'll need#
- Minimum junior standing at a college or university.
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar discipline.
- Ability to work a 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday, on-site.
- Basic understanding of electrical circuits and electronics fundamentals.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- A desire to learn vehicle electrical systems design, development, and testing.
- A willingness to get hands-on experience.
- Experience with CAN tools, vehicle diagnostics, schematic or harness software, or participation in project teams like Formula SAE, Baja, EV, or Robotics is a plus.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site internship located in Allen Park, Michigan, with occasional work in Livonia, Michigan.
- The term runs from September to December 2026.
