About the role#
This is a full-time, paid co-op opportunity for students pursuing degrees in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering. You will work within the product Research and Development Centers of Excellence in Avon, Ohio. This role follows a rolling term schedule and requires you to be on-site.
What you'll do#
- Conduct advanced product concept research and development.
- Design and build test fixtures for both hardware and software.
- Validate and troubleshoot products in laboratory and vehicle environments.
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve equipment reliability issues.
- Support customer and supplier new product development projects.
- Assist in translating customer requirements into new product designs.
- Oversee inventory, assembly, and testing coordination with technicians.
- Validate software algorithms and hardware using hardware-in-the-loop technologies.
- Conduct electronic circuit analysis and materials testing.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Proficiency with design tools such as AutoCad or equivalent software.
- Experience with Linux, Macintosh, and Windows operating systems.
- Ability to use analysis tools like MATLAB, Simulink, LabVIEW, and CAN-based software.
- Familiarity with programming languages including C, C++, JAVA, HTML, and Visual Basic.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical tools, shop equipment, and trucks.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is a plus.
