About the role#
As a Structural Analysis Intern at our Long Beach site, you will assist the Structural Analysis Team with detailed simulations and physics-based analysis. You will support vehicle design activities and contribute to the validation and improvement of our space systems and components. This role involves working closely with mentors and team members to apply engineering concepts to real-world challenges.
What you'll do#
- Perform detailed simulations and physics-based analysis.
- Support vehicle design and analysis tasks.
- Validate designs and contribute to the improvement of space systems.
- Apply engineering concepts to solve technical challenges.
- Attend regular 1:1 meetings with mentors and supervisors to review progress.
- Participate in tech talks and connect with other interns and employees.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s, master's, or doctorate program in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Astronautical, or Mechanical engineering.
- At least one semester of school remaining after the internship concludes.
- A GPA of 3.0 or above.
- A minimum of 3 months of applied engineering experience, such as internships, laboratory work, or team projects.
- Preferred: GPA of 3.5 or above and 6+ months of applied engineering experience.
- Preferred: Experience with CAD/CAM, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Statics and Dynamics, and Siemens NX.

- Duration: Minimum of 12 consecutive weeks.
- Modality: Full-time, on-site.
- Compensation: $28.00 per hour.
