About the role#
As a Relationship Manager Intern, you will manage a portfolio of small business clients. You act as an ambassador for the bank in the local business market. Your primary goal is to provide financial advice to help clients start, manage, and grow their enterprises. You will work alongside other advisors and specialists to create a consistent experience for our clients.
What you'll do#
- Acquire and grow client relationships by delivering tailored financial advice.
- Proactively contact clients to gather insights and understand their changing needs.
- Plan market activities and introduce clients to internal partners to meet their personal and business financial goals.
- Manage risk and exercise due diligence in all banking procedures.
- Develop action plans to address specific client concerns or risks.
- Champion digital tools by advocating for mobile and online applications.
- Visit clients on-site to understand their business objectives and operations.
What you'll need#
- Skills in business development, client acquisition, and prospecting.
- Experience building and leveraging Centres of Influence within the local business community.
- A proven track record in client relationship management.
- Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of credit, including risk assessments, financial analyses, credit structuring, and deal presentations.
- Completion of the Associate Account Manager training program, or previous experience as a small business owner or in a similar field.
- Familiarity with a broad array of business and personal financial products.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.
