About the role#
This is a four-month internship as a GRM, FC Insights and Analytics Intern for the Winter 2027 term. You will work within the Global Financial Crime and Compliance group to support risk initiatives. The role is full-time and based in Toronto, Ontario.
What you'll do#
- Support the design, development, and optimization of AML, Sanctions, and ATF client and payment screening models.
- Analyze screening model performance data to identify areas for tuning and improvement.
- Contribute to the development of Model White Papers and documentation.
- Analyze complex datasets to identify patterns, anomalies, and insights for financial crime detection.
- Collaborate with cross-functional compliance and technology teams to support screening program enhancements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at a Canadian post-secondary institution in data science, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with attention to detail.
- Programming skills in one or more languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
- Ability to extract, transform, and analyze large volumes of data.
- Proficiency with MS Office, including advanced Excel functions.
