About the role#
As a Systems Engineering Co-op for Boeing Platforms Displays, you will work within our Avionics department to help design and develop flight deck display systems for commercial aircraft. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to create display solutions that are safe, intuitive, and reliable. This role covers the full development lifecycle, from initial requirements analysis and system modeling to integration, verification, and flight-critical testing.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design, model, and integrate avionics display solutions.
- Develop and execute system-level operational test procedures for flight deck displays.
- Design, code, and test software utilities and automation scripts to support system integration and validation.
- Participate in requirements capture, system architecture trade studies, and traceability analyses.
- Support hardware-software bench integration, troubleshooting, and anomaly investigation in specialized avionics test laboratories.
- Apply commercial aviation development standards and processes, including ARINC 661, ARINC 664, and ARP4754.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM discipline.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Minimum of 30 hours of credit by the start of the session.
- Experience with at least one programming or scripting language.
- Experience with software development concepts such as coding, debugging, testing, or design.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
