About the role#
This internship offers the chance to work with the Data Engineering team to build data products and productionize pipelines. You will gain insight into how we approach scalability, performance, and analytics challenges while contributing to our sports data architecture.
What you'll do#
- Learn to manage data, scalability, and performance challenges.
- Assist in creating and maintaining optimal sport data architecture.
- Ensure data reliability regarding speed and quality for pipelines.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to determine paths for data ingestion, processing, and product creation.
What you'll need#
- A strong technical background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or Data Science.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Experience with databases, data warehouses, data lakes, cloud infrastructure, and continuous deployment.
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
- A genuine interest in sports data, analytics, and open-source projects.
- You must be a rising junior, senior, Master's student, or a recent graduate within one semester of graduation.
- You must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
