About the role#
This internship provides experience working with our Data and ML platform team. You will help productionize a platform that powers distributed systems for ETL and model development for real-time priced markets. You will gain insight into how we approach scalability, performance, and MLOps challenges.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the creation and maintenance of optimal sports data stream architecture.
- Ensure data reliability in both speed and quality for data pipelines.
- Collaborate with our Data Engineering and Data Science teams to determine the best paths for operationalizing data pipelines and ML assets.
- Monitor and maintain model output quality, stability, and scalability.
What you'll need#
- A background in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related quantitative fields.
- Strong coding skills in Python and SQL.
- Experience building data and ML platform applications and services.
- Understanding of Kubernetes, CPU, and GPU architectures.
- Interest in sports and fantasy sports markets.
- Experience with lower-level programming languages like C++ is a plus.
- A history of deploying platforms for data or machine learning applications from scratch.
- Success in open-source projects.
- Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
