About the role#
This paid internship offers the chance to work directly with our Fraud Analytics team in Atlanta. You will handle real data and address actual fraud questions alongside our analysts and Fraud Operations staff. The role focuses on identifying and preventing fraud trends while keeping the experience smooth for our legitimate players.
What you'll do#
- Analyze onboarding, promo, and payment activity to spot abuse and recommend fixes.
- Evaluate fraud controls using before/after comparisons, holdouts, and backtests.
- Build dashboards and maintain a fraud and payment metric dictionary.
- Triage data anomalies with Engineering.
- Answer ad-hoc questions from Fraud Ops and Product.
What you'll need#
- Proven SQL skills including joins, window functions, and aggregations.
- Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets.
- Understanding of statistics basics such as hypothesis testing.
- A project to show off where you balanced competing goals or priorities.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A passion for sports.
- Enrollment in or recent graduation from a program in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Economics, or Computer Science.
