About the role#
This Systems Engineer Co-Op position is a full-time, paid opportunity based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. We are looking for students to join us for the Winter or Summer 2027 terms. This is an on-site role that requires U.S. citizenship to access program information.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with Systems and Software engineering teams to design, develop, and test software features for helicopters and planes.
- Apply leadership, communication, and coordination skills to deliver quality products to our customers.
- Travel for business purposes as needed, both domestically and internationally, for less than 10% of your time.
- Gain experience in Systems Engineering and Flight Management Systems.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree program in a STEM field through the end of your internship or co-op.
- Preferred experience with C, C++, ADA, or Python.
- Ability to draft system or software requirements is a plus.
- Interest in aviation, such as private pilot experience, aircraft maintenance, or familiarity with DO-178 certification, is preferred.
