About the role#
This internship is part of the Raytheon Fellowship Program for the summer of 2027. You will work on a development team to perform software integration and testing. The role is full-time and based on-site in State College, Pennsylvania.
What you'll do#
- Perform development, integration, testing, and documentation tasks to ensure hardware and software platforms operate correctly.
- Integrate applications from various sources and ensure they meet performance standards for stability.
- Develop software to bridge components and enable new capabilities.
- Write unit tests to ensure high code coverage.
- Participate in code peer reviews and conduct design reviews.
- Generate test plans to maintain code quality and stability.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or higher degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 30 credit hours completed by the start of the internship.
- Standing of at least Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Post-Grad by summer 2027.
- Software development experience using Java in a Unix or Linux environment.
- Familiarity with version control systems like GIT and agile development.
- U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
- Preferred: Experience with Python, or continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, Maven, or GITLAB.
