About the role#
This co-op position offers an opportunity to gain experience in platform systems engineering. You will work on the A/MH-6R cockpit avionics for SOA programs. This role requires a U.S. Person as defined by federal regulations.
What you'll do#
- Learn to capture and perform peer reviews for cockpit avionics requirements.
- Decompose and allocate requirements to specific domains.
- Create test procedures to verify requirements.
- Conduct requirements-based, robustness, and Ad-Hoc testing in an on-site lab environment.
- Collaborate with a team of professional engineers using Agile development methods.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree program in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related STEM field.
- Active enrollment status through the end of the internship or co-op.
- Familiarity with Agile development.
- Basic experience with DOORS, JIRA, and the ALM tool suite.
- Knowledge of configuration management tools and requirements capture.
- Experience or coursework in integration, verification, and validation testing.
- Experience working in an aerospace engineering environment.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site position located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
- The role is available for the Winter 2027 and Summer 2027 terms.
- This position is paid.
