About the role#
This internship places you within the Research and Technology team, focusing on the deployment of Additive Manufacturing (AM) for production in commercial aircraft engines. You will work in an interactive environment, receiving direct support from senior engineers while contributing to high-value deliverables. This role provides exposure to the entire value stream of flight certification for engine components.
What you'll do#
- Manage and drive the progression of AM technology projects.
- Coordinate the execution of multiple projects, including the creation of business cases and the validation of costing tools.
- Participate in material characterization by creating test plans and coordinating coupon testing.
- Evaluate parts for AM manufacturing and propose design changes.
- Create and document AM design best practices and training materials.
- Assist in the coordination and documentation of strategic plans and executive presentations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Canadian university throughout the duration of the internship.
- Ability to work on-site in Longueuil.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling, ideally using CATIA.
- Experience in the design and manufacturing of AM parts.
- Understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes, such as machining and casting.
- Basic knowledge of metallurgy.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English, both oral and written, to communicate with international colleagues and interpret technical documentation.
Location & details#
- Location: Longueuil, Quebec.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January 5 to April 23, 2027).
- Modality: Full-time, on-site, Monday to Friday.
- This is a paid internship.
- The offer is conditional upon the successful completion of a criminal background check and the receipt of all necessary authorizations for handling controlled goods.
