About the role#
This is a paid, full-time Production Scheduler Intern position for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on-site at our Halifax, Nova Scotia location from January 5th to April 23rd, 2027. This role involves coordinating production workflows and ensuring parts move efficiently through our manufacturing processes.
What you'll do#
- Plan production schedules by balancing machine capacity with current priorities.
- Track and prioritize quality notifications.
- Monitor the progress of production parts, specifically focusing on priority items.
- Follow up on part deliveries and communicate updates to internal and external customers.
- Collaborate with teams across industrial engineering, production, quality, procurement, and customer service.
- Analyze scheduling priorities and summarize risks for stakeholders.
- Initiate and support continuous improvement projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Canadian university within an Environmental, Chemical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering program.
- Eligibility to work in Canada.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, including data manipulation and analysis.
- Ability to work on-site in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities.
- Knowledge of SAP or Power BI is considered an asset.
