About the role#
As an Operations Engineering Intern, you will work within the manufacturing processes of the factory. This role involves translating design requirements into manufacturing processes and supporting the product life cycle from development through production. You will contribute to factory operations, ensuring that process and design requirements are met while driving improvements to reduce costs, defects, and cycle times.
What you'll do#
- Utilize Raytheon systems and tools to support manufacturing processes.
- Support production operations and the manufacturing discipline to meet objectives for cost, quality, schedule, and safety.
- Support improvement and optimization initiatives.
- Assist with the test process through various product life cycle phases.
- Troubleshoot and solve problems related to test failures.
- Identify opportunities in test processes to improve efficiency, yields, and capacity.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor's or advanced degree program in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related STEM major.
- Completion of at least 60 credit hours by the start of the internship.
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Preferred experience includes a degree focus in Manufacturing or Electrical Engineering, knowledge of manufacturing testing processes, and technical writing skills.

- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based on-site in Andover, Massachusetts.
- This position involves direct support of manufacturing activities and requires time spent in factory areas.
