About the role#
Blue Canyon Technologies is hiring a Mission Operations Engineer Intern for our Summer 2027 program. This full-time position runs for 11 weeks, starting May 25, 2027. You will work directly with our mission operations team to support small satellite development and flight services.
What you'll do#
- Support mission operations concepts and flight product development.
- Write mission operations documentation, procedures, command scripts, and timelines.
- Assist with integrated system level testing for flight and ground segments.
- Create training documentation for mission processes.
- Help with real-time spacecraft and payload command and control during launch and early orbit phases.
- Analyze spacecraft performance trends and assist with anomaly investigations.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the team.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a four-year university degree program in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, or Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Completion of at least two years of college coursework by the start of the internship.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with both quantitative and qualitative data.
- Demonstrated leadership experience through school or extracurricular projects.
- Ability to learn new processes quickly and handle multiple tasks at once.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate well with peers and internal customers.
