About the role#
This internship offers an opportunity to work within our operations support design team. You will gain a broad perspective on turbomachinery and the design process by working across various engine families and component types.
What you'll do#
- Design modifications to resolve producibility challenges on turbomachinery components.
- Perform engineering evaluations of non-conforming material.
- Support outsourcing activities by defining and executing substantiation plans for components.
- Initiate design modifications to reduce costs.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a Canadian university pursuing a degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
- Eligible to work in Canada.
- Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written). French language skills are an asset.
- Organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure.
- Project management skills.
- Ability to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings, and technical terms in English.
- Ability to successfully complete a criminal background check and obtain clearances for handling and transferring controlled goods.
Location & details#
- Location: Longueuil, Quebec (on-site).
- Term: Winter 2027 (January 5 to April 23, 2027).
- Work modality: Full-time, on-site, Monday to Friday.
