About the role#
This is a full-time, paid co-op position based in Jamestown, North Dakota. The role runs from January through July or August 2027, covering both the Winter and Spring terms. You will work on-site to support the development, integration, and testing of aircraft mechanical cargo systems. U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
What you'll do#
- Design and test mechanical components and systems for new products.
- Use CAD software to create component designs and complete engineering drawings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware and software designers, test engineers, production staff, and supply chain partners.
- Resolve technical issues on production lines to keep manufacturing moving.
- Consult with vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders on current and future engineering projects.
- Ensure products meet all specifications and functional requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree program for Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, continuing through the end of the co-op.
- Completion of at least 45 credit hours by the start of the term.
- Proficiency with CAD software such as NX, Catia, Creo, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Autodesk.
- Experience with engineering drawings and Microsoft Office tools is preferred.
- Experience working on cross-functional teams or previous work experience with RTX is an advantage.
