About the role#
As a Manufacturing Engineering intern, you will report to the Technical Supervisor of the Manufacturing Engineering team. You will work alongside a group of methods agents, NC programmers, and specialists in special processes and CMM inspection. Your primary focus is to develop manufacturing methods for engine components such as turbines, compressors, and combustion chambers. You will also help optimize these methods to meet production delivery targets.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate projects for the production and development of parts.
- Create and write complex manufacturing operation sheets for engine parts and assemblies.
- Provide technical support to the manufacturing workshop and external suppliers.
- Interpret and validate technical requirements from drawings, models, and specifications.
- Define tooling for part assembly and control in collaboration with design teams.
- Work directly with machinists and inspectors to refine methods and resolve development issues.
- Establish work standards to improve manufacturing quality.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Canadian university throughout the internship.
- Eligibility to work in Canada.
- Proficiency in French is required.
- Working knowledge of English to read technical instructions, plans, and drawings.
- Ability to work on-site in Longueuil.
- Enrollment in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering.
Location & details#
- Location: Longueuil, Quebec.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January 5 to April 23, 2027).
- Modality: Full-time, on-site, Monday to Friday.
- This is a paid internship.
- The role requires a criminal background check and authorization for the handling of controlled goods.
