About the role#
This co-op position supports manufacturing electrical engineering, specifically focusing on high-frequency communication radios and circuit board manufacturing processes. You will work on-site in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, during the winter or summer of 2027. This is a full-time, paid position. Please note that U.S. citizenship is required for this role.
What you'll do#
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Resolve issues related to design tolerances.
- Select, order, and evaluate capital test equipment, including performing cost and payback analyses.
- Support capacity planning and analyze equipment utilization.
- Identify and fix routine test defects to improve test yields.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for test failures.
- Gain experience with tools like SAP, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and PDM.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field.
- A background in root cause analysis.
- Relevant experience from coursework, research, projects, or on-the-job training.
- Prior experience in manufacturing environments.
- Experience or interest in RF technology and electronics.
- A proven ability to drive continuous improvement in operations.
- Previous internship or co-op experience with RTX is a plus.
