About the role#
This Electrical Engineering Co-Op position focuses on the design and development of flight simulators. You will work on project-oriented tasks that often span multiple programs simultaneously. This role involves applying engineering methods and CAD tools to investigate and solve technical problems in an office and manufacturing environment.
What you'll do#
- Design, analyze, modify, test, and evaluate input/output systems.
- Create system and schematic diagrams using AutoCAD.
- Integrate aircraft avionics systems.
- Perform and document electrical load analysis and balancing.
- Execute 3-phase power system calculations and design.
- Analyze and evaluate requirements compliance for hardware products.
- Resolve technical problems and provide support to suppliers and manufacturing teams.
- Participate in the installation and final sell off of training devices.
- Coordinate and review technical deliverables before customer submission.
- Provide administrative and technical support to the Engineering department.
- Conduct independent studies, analysis, and interpretations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited Bachelor's degree program or higher in Engineering, preferably Electrical, Computer Science, or Systems Engineering.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Detail-oriented approach with strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- U.S. citizenship is required due to government contract requirements.
- Eligibility for a DoD Personal Security Clearance.
- Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds and climb stairs to access simulators.
