About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Manufacturing Electrical Engineering Co-Op position based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The role covers the Summer and Fall 2027 terms. You will work on-site to support high-frequency communication radios and circuit board manufacturing processes. Please note that U.S. citizenship is required for this role.
What you'll do#
- Provide technical interpretation of drawings and specifications.
- Analyze and resolve design tolerance issues.
- Evaluate, select, and order capital test equipment, including performing cost and payback analysis.
- Support capacity planning and utilization analysis to ensure proper staffing and test equipment needs.
- Identify and address routine test defects to improve test yields.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve test failures.
What you'll need#
- Active pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, or a related STEM major.
- Background in root cause analysis.
- Relevant experience gained through on-the-job training, research, coursework, or projects.
- Prior experience in manufacturing environments is preferred.
- Prior experience in RF technology is preferred.
- Demonstrated interest or experience in electronics is preferred.
- Proven ability to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing operations is preferred.
- Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience is preferred.
